Yes. Papaya Construction Group holds CSLB License #1139140 as a B – General Building Contractor, is BBB-accredited with an A- rating, and carries general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Do you handle tub-to-shower conversions?

Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most-requested services.

We remove the existing tub and surround, modify plumbing as needed, install new waterproofing and shower pan, and finish with tile, acrylic, or seamless panel walls plus glass enclosure or curbless entry.

Typical project time is 1–2 weeks of active construction.

Can you build an ADA-compliant or accessible walk-in shower?

Yes. We build curbless, barrier-free walk-in showers that meet 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design when accessibility is the project goal.

This includes reinforced blocking for grab bars, slip-resistant flooring, accessible fixture controls, built-in bench seating, and proper slope for drainage.

Will I have to replace my toilet or faucets if my home was built before 1994?

If your Orange County home was built and available for use on or before January 1, 1994, California Senate Bill 407 requires that any noncompliant plumbing fixtures be replaced with water-conserving fixtures as a condition of final permit approval.

Compliant fixtures are: toilets at 1.28 GPF or less, showerheads at 1.8 GPM or less, and lavatory faucets at 1.2 GPM or less.
